Seahawks Mock Draft V 2.0

Seahawks Edition Mock Draft V 2.0

So many holes, so little time. With the 2010 NFL draft right around the corner, us, Seahawks fans can only patiently wait for the 6th pick. I have seen all mock drafts, listened to all Pete Carroll's interviews, and listened to 950 KJR more than my music, and yet I still don't know who the hell the Seahawks will draft. Do you? With all the possibilities that can happen to picks 1 - 5, Carroll and Schneider can and will most likely will pick for best available player and not so much need. Not to worry, with the best available player, the picks will correlate with our needs. On a side note, am I the only one pissed that the NFL once again denied the Seahawks no national televised games this season? Anyway, without further ado...

The Seattle Seahawks are on the clock...

Round 1 pick 6.

Eric Berry (Tennessee, FS)

Before you start going crazy because I didn't list an offensive tackle, I want to let you know that Eric Berry, "The Fifth Dimension," will be a pro bowl player within 2 seasons, mark my words. Seattle released Deon Grant, WE NEED a safety like Eric Berry. You know who Ed Reed is? Troy Polamalu? Eric Berry is the next safety like those two. Plus, you know who Alex Gibbs is? He and everyone knows that he doesn't need the first picks to be an OT because he can develop an OT into his zone block scheme. Berry will fall to 6 because picks 1 - 5 will go DT and OT crazy. Maybe I just really want Eric Berry to become a Seahawk; regardless Berry will be the best available pick for us at pick 6.

Previous mock draft pick, Eric Berry.

Other prospects, Trent Williams OT, Bryan Bulaga OT, C.J. Spiller RB

Round 1 pick 14.

Jason Pierre-Paul (South Florida, DE)

Nope, still no OT at pick 14. With Kerney retiring and Seahawks defense ranked 24th Seahawks need that dynamic pass rusher to pressure the QB and force fumbles or interceptions. Although, I TRULY, HONESTLY, think that the Seahawks will trade this pick down to another team for a swap of 1st round picks and will also receive a 3rd round pick I will just make a pick at 14.

Previous mock draft pick, Bryan Bulaga.

Other prospects, Anthony Davis OT, C.J. Spiller RB, Derrick Morgan DE, Dez Bryant WR

Round 2 pick 28

Vlad Ducasse (Massachusetts, OT)

With Walter Jones’ future unknown, the Seahawks will look to the future with or without Walt and let the magic of Alex Gibbs to work with Vlad in his zone-blocking scheme.

Previous mock draft pick, Jahvid Best RB

Other prospects, Jared Veldheer OT, Toby Gerhart RB, Dexter McCluster RB

why udub huskies will beat marquette

1. MBA is playin his best ball and will be a beast in the middle, marquette's tallest starter is 6'6".

2. marquette only plays 7 players. udub runs the ball all day and will tire marquette out.

3. udub has won our last 7, 6 of those away games.

4. although ALL marquette starters shoot 34% from 3's. if we play good man d, and well shut them
down(holiday & overton).

5. udub stays in the west coast even though its the east bracket. marquette has to travel over 2,000 miles.

2010 Seahawks Mock Draft v1.0

As a Seahawk fan, the 2009 season hurt to watch, literally...hurt. The only good thing after a 5 - 11 season, as we all know is the early draft picks in the upcoming draft in April. 5 - 11 gets you the number 6 pick for this draft class, that essentially means that out of 32 teams in the league, the Hawks were ranked 27th (not the 26th I did the math). Another round 1 pick we got is from the Denver Broncos, we were all thinking "hell yeah" because we know that Jay Cutler left for the Bears, a new head coach, and the diva Brandon Marshall was acting up during training camp, which means another low first round pick. So perhaps we were all too optimistic for this. As I started to root for my second favorite team (any team that played the Broncos) I couldn't believe THE BRONCOS STARTED 6 - 0 going into their bye week! are u kidding? The immaculate deflection!?! are you kidding? ANYWAYS, they finished 2 - 8 the next ten games and ended up 8 - 8. Which equals the 14th pick for the Seahawks, not bad. So now in the Pete Carroll era and our new GM, Shooter McGavin, we have 3 picks in the top 40 (6th, 14th, 40th). Without further ado...

The Seahawks are on the clock...

Round 1 pick 6

Pete Carroll is a defensive minded coach. Seahawks ranked 30th against the pass. With that being said, lets think back to last year...who fell into our laps at the 4th pick? The top prospect in the entire draft, Mr. Aaron Curry. Now I'm not saying our number one pick is the top prospect in the draft because that is obviously Suh and he will be taken already, BUT I'm saying this guy will fall into our laps like Curry did last year. Deion Grant is whack, lets be honest. Big play Babs? Not big play Babs as a starter, go back to nickle/dime packages. Lawyer Milloy? my cousin played ball with him before the Hawks signed him last year, my cousin said he was nice, that's all I gotta say about Lawyer. We need that ball hawk like Ed Reed baby. So I think we all know where I'm going with this...
With the 6th pick in the 2010 draft the Seattle Seahawks draft, Eric Berry S!

Other prospects - Gerald McCoy DT, Russell Okung OT, Jimmy Clausen QB

The Seahawks are on the clock...

Round 1 pick 14

Walt, Walt, Walt, we all wish that, thee Walter Jones could play our left tackle forever but we all know he only has one or two good seasons left in the tank and frankly we need to lock up that O-Line. I know the Seahawks could go any direction with this pick and ultimately go in any direction with all the top 3 picks we have but I believe that Carroll will draft an OT with this 14th pick.

With the 14th pick in the 2010 draft the Seattle Seahawks draft Bryan Bulaga OT!

Other prospects - Anthony Davis OT, C.J. Spiller RB, Derrick Morgan DE

Round 2 pick 8

This is the pick that I'm excited for! In the beginning of the 2009 NCAA football season, what offensive player was thought of for the Heisman trophy? Think about it for a second... Dude had 5 rushing touchdowns in a single game...then had a ridiculous injury towards the end of the season and people forgot how good this guy was. Carroll needs to cut J.J. (Julius Jones) and have a two headed monster of Justin Forsett and....
With the 40th pick in the 2010 draft the Seattle Seahawks draft Jahvid Best RB!

Other prospects - Colt McCoy QB, Everson Griffen DE, Golden Tate WR

I know it's ridiculously early for a mock draft for the Seahawks but I couldn't help myself. Now that Pete Carroll is here I'm definitely renewing my season tickets. If you read my whole blog you have to be a sports/Seahawks fan, I'm glad you made it through. And I know that your thinking all these other picks the Seahawks need to cover before getting a safety, like an OT, DE, QB, RB right? Let me know what you think. Give me your opinion on the picks. Leave a comment. I'll update this later when there is more information about the draft. Hope all you guys enjoyed the blog and go hawks!

Here are some filthy highlights videos of Eric, Bryan, and Jahvid so you can start believing in my mock draft picks.
